There is something about the wind in this for me.
The light breezes of summer carrying the loose parts of plants to places unknown.
Everything is changing and this drawing was influenced by the change. I used a set of marks that feel organic. Late summer has arrived and autumn is not far away.

Floaty.
The quality of line in this drawing really defines the lightness of it. The overlapping of repetitive marks is casual and it seems just enough.
Very summery to me.

Sometimes more is more.

I enjoy this crazy drawing more each time I look at it.

I really couldn’t stop making marks and they layering really felt productive.

Ink. Again.

I love ink. I love black. I love dots.

Aren’t they enough?

These are the drawings that remind me that I love ink and that black can almost be enough.

I was very happy that I added the orange scribbles. They created a nest in which to rest.

Just leave it alone is all I could hear myself saying.

This drawing was a complete surprise when I made it and it surprises me each time I look at it again.
More like my pastel drawings than the ink of pencil drawings, it inspires me to mix my media a bit more.

My drawings always seem to flow from more to less —chaos to order.
This is one of the more ordered drawings and it uses a subset of the common language in all my drawings.
Often this set of marks has the feeling of weaving or textiles. I’m glad that they do.
