Moving into a direction with more and more layers. This is my process when I work with pastels or sometimes colored pencils. It's harder to achieve these layers with inks.

This is a combination of the two techniques. In the digital I can make tools that are like pens and have ink effects but not encounter the difficulties of trying to achieve this on paper.

I was without direction when I made this drawing. Scribbles with a bit of a pattern. Using the elipse by duplicating. The same motion large and small.

Some how night was in my mind. It crept out in this drawing.

The project continues. This is another adventure with elliptical shapes. I like using them — a lot.  I'm going to follow that desire the next few drawings and see which way they go. At least I'm going to try.

Working with some circles and simple lines. Quick again. Not thinking. A little bit like using a Sharpie.

Thinking about the deepest of spring on the edge of summer. Quick marks not too much color.

Squiggle. Wiggle. That's what it looks like to me. That's how it felt when I drew it.

I have finally gotten to the drawings I made in April.  This is very April don't you think? A little Japanese feeling yes?

It was all a bit complicated.

I wasn't sure that it was possible to control myself. The lines, and dots, and circles just keep coming. It was a deluge.  Now that I can see it; I'm glad. Losing control, letting the energy of the moment take control of the drawing is what I seek. The energy can be quiet and rhythmic — obsessive or unexpected and overwhelming. It's all good.
