I've begun a new series of drawings. Again on synthetic paper. It's really the smoothness of the paper that motivates the most recent work. Everything sits on the surface.
I haven't done any masking in quite some time. I usually make a grid but I don't usually tape it off. This time I'm interested in breaking the barrier with the continuation of a line taking advantage of the space the mask takes away. I've been using graphite and gouache maybe something else will sneak into the pieces. They are a response to the sun and wind in recent days. It's really hard to say much more. I don't want to start thinking about what they are or what they will become while they are still unfinished.
This is what they are right now.
