Working on a design for a "gutter" that will be mounted behind the counter. It will be a basket that will hold containers of tools, printing and framing materials. Looking at materials and fabrication ideas. Wire baskets, gutters, wooden boxes?

What an amazing day today at 1241.
Having the studio here is so exciting! Spent the whole holiday constructing. This is the view while eating some yogurt and several glasses of water. Construction images to come soon. In the meantime enjoy the view.
The art studio is almost packed for the move. Much of the supplies are packed in plastic reusable bins. I have photographed the layers so that materials and tools will be easily found. Making for fast unpacking to the shelf walls that will be constructed before the move.
Got the keys and went over to check out the space. Finally. Can't wait to get started moving in! Begins this weekend.
Two of my cosmic strings drawings are currently displayed in West Chester. They are part of the Make your Mark public art project by Chester County Art Association. Stop by and see my work and the others that have been selected. The work will be on display until September. Below, cosmic field.

Some sketches for new drawings. Have done some additional mark tests to determine choices of paper and medium. Looking forward to being able to get into the studio again.
Finally got it together to piece my studio survey images together.
This will be the new HQ with weekend art events and some cool experimental installations. The painting will begin when the previous occupant moves out.

Have spent some more time with Google SketchUP, relearning some things I have forgotten. Working more on the layout of the new HQ. This image shows the long common hallway on the south-side. We're creating a larger door opening to move in/out the larger and 3d works. Also, a welcoming entrance for art openings. We've created a wall in front of the storage to feature a signature work to draw visitors in. The left side is facing North and is an ouside wall.
