Lines and interruptions.

The rhythm of my days. That's what this drawing feels like.

I'm moving along and there are these strange but pleasing interruptions interruptions interruptions add joy or consternation. They are the fabric of life and this drawing is my unconscious rambling yet rhythmic being.

I really just let whatever happen in this drawing.
Holding on to a simple set of tools. Scribbling a bit. Smudging a bit. A little bit of red. It's a bit like wire to me. Hard to bend and meet my expectations.

What does one think of when spring is near?

This is one experience that come to mind.

I've always found the repetitive drawing of lines meditative. They are like threads to me. Threads that have different meanings in the context of other marks in my vocabulary.  These could be stacks of paper with leaves pressed between them.

Most of my drawing has a series of marks that are repeated in rhythm and sometimes in tandem with other marks.
This was a simple experience. Drawing a coil. Not a spiral.

These are marks I love to see. Sitting quietly together. Related and not — simultaneously.

I really had to take something away in this drawing.

The scribbles beneath repetitive and just trying to get some energy started. Then I could make a drawing.

Where did the green come from?

A horizontal celebration.

Simple.

Don't think. Breathe every time you make a mark.

Like little polished circles.

Another horizontal graphite piece.

Back to less and horizontal.

Still working with graphite marks. These are almost like I drew them with my left hand. I couldn't possibly draw with my left hand on the iPhone. Purely experimental
