Spent an hour confused looking for my glasses.

Thought I forgot them at home. Nope on my head.

Crazy color. Crazy energy.

Wild and wooly.

This is a spring explosion. It's clear that the season is driving what's happening during this point on the calendar.

Making marks in new directions.

Using a bit of vibrant color to crank up some new energy.

Pow.

Bam.

Zizzy.

Lost in repetition.

Pattern swimming. Frolicking through the tides of these marks.

I worked with creating marks as if with an absorbant surface.  I'm doing these same marks now in my studio.

Trying to maintain some restraint.

This drawing uses a limited vocabulary.  It was made quickly. A mark here and there and done.

My favorite drawings are when the marks flost in space.

I'd been making these drawings for five months when I made this one. In the middle of spring. The colors don't feel like spring. Who knows what I was thinking. Maybe the cherries and apricots blooming in the trees on our street? No it was too early. Can't explain it.
But this drawing is certainly a mid density piece that feels textile like. Maybe a rug I'd like to have at my feet. MAny of my drawings take on the feeling of textiles.
