A new combination oof marks. Really playing with making different tools and determining what kind of energy or representational value they have in the drawing.
In this one I learned a bit more about a fluid transparent mass.

Several of my drawings on the studio wall.
These are the first of my drawings that have been directly been influenced by my #drawingaday project. I began drawing this series using transparent inks and large pens including bamboo pens.

Everything in this drawing is about layering. Using many mark-making tools in this piece. Crazy tight balls of wire, stamped transparent marks, and circles which I love on the iPhone. A bit of scribbling and I feel like I’ve drawn a big ball of lint.

I wanted to get back to dragging a color accross space as if I had a piece of pastel in my hand.
Working with the same kind of emergent shapes as some of the earlier line drawings; only this time creating more mass.
Love this shape and I’m going to experiemnt more with it.

The sun energy is undeniable.
Everything feels turned up to 10. Embracing making these knots of lines.
Bundled energy.

The book for my #drawingaday project has a design and I've been making pages. I'm almost current with the drawings I have made. The cover is next on my list. These will be handmade I think since production services like Blurb are too expensive for the quality.

So these maybe either limited edition or made to order or both.

The summer sun has started to take hold in every part of my body. I see this yellow. I feel this yeloow.
It iis the sun on my face and the heat in my heart.
Everything is being recharged.

This set of marks in this color space is so much about nature.
I imagine them in graphite and I would think of concrete and asphalt.

Feathery nature.
Fronds come to mind. Little fiddleheads. They just flow out of my finger and onto the iPhone.
There is something magical about it.

Working with some shapes. They are the kind you make when you are a kid. I always want to make marks like when I was a kid. I try to bring them into my sketching all the time.
Those marks activate something in my brain that frees me to draw more orderly marks with joy.
It’s hard to explain.
