Pink Thing was a moment of wildness that has a surprising order based on two repeating grids one a curtain of lines the other a net of crosses. Occasionally I use pink. It is outside my comfort zone. As a young girl I was overwhelmed with distain for the pink stuff for girls. As a woman I've been able to reclaim pink as powerful for women. Reclaiming it now and again as necessary.

LOOKING THROUGH MY TELESCOPE

Looking Through My Telescope is bit of phantasmagoria. Multicolored ever-changing shifting pattern. Seeing the edges of stars take over as a dot of color above an imaginary horizon. I used some gold metallic ink for this one.

I’m honored to be one of many participating artists in this year’s benefit exhibition, Converge, at Bridgette Mayer Gallery! This year, proceeds from the sales of works will support two nonprofits: Help Us Adopt and Dina Wind Art Foundation

HelpUsAdopt.org is a New York-based, national financial grant program that helps families with the cost of adoptions. The Dina Wind Art Foundation is a Philadelphia-based nonprofit that helps to create opportunities for women artists.

I'm pleased to announce that one of my large graphite drawings is going to a new home in California. The drawing is a series of eighteen lines in different graphite grades on the cotton of Rives BFK. I really like the way graphite works on this printing paper.

I'm getting ready to roll it up and ship it out to it's new home.
