Getting work out where it can be seen isn't as easy as it sounds. Chosing where it should be seen is critical to the perception of the viewer.

What happened this past weekend was pretty amazing. I was invited to show my work by and with artists I respect. They have a show and sale every year near the holidays. It's been going on for years. This is the sixteenth. I got my work out there to be seen.

Was on my morning walk on the way back from having a morning coffee in the neighborhood. Straying past my uusual route to avoid a large group of tourist getting off a bus I wandered into the renovated Franklin court. I've always thought this was a fabulous landmark in our city and now it has been refurbished and enhanced.

To me this is Philadelphia's past and present.

Seriously? POST EAST is over?
I was just getting in the groove.

POST is always a wild thing. No matter how prepared you are you never know what will happen. This weekend temperatures reached summer highs. I had to have my mega air conditioner running to cool my visitors who climbed the three flights to my studio.

The MADE IN PHILLY campaign takes over traditional advertising spaces to showcase the extraordinary but often untold quantity and quality of visual art being produced in Philadelphia...and connects each work displayed to the neighborhood (even block) where it was created.
